On January 20, 1990, in Baku, Azerbaijan, in this tragic event that went down in history as the Yanvar (Black January) Massacre, innocent civilians demanding independence and freedom were targeted; hundreds of people lost their lives and were injured.
The Yanvar Massacre;
is a humanitarian tragedy in which human rights, the right to life, and conscience were blatantly violated.
