NUMBER OF ORGANIZED INDUSTRIAL ZONES IN TURKEY
Turkey's future lies in organized industrial zones that produce.
In our country, which started its first OIZ experience in Bursa with the decision taken in 1962, with the establishment of OIZ in Hakkari Yüksekova in 2020, there is no city left in Turkey without an OIZ.
Currently, the number of OIZs in our country is 354, and the number has increased to 379 with the addition of specialized OIZs.
In 2002: 140 OIZs
In 2023: 379 OIZs
Last year, OIZs provided 200 thousand new jobs, reaching the highest employment figure in history with 2 million 290 thousand people. The number of businesses in our OIZs has exceeded 80 thousand. 79 vocational high schools provide education in organized industrial zones. The number of students in vocational high schools in our OIZs, which was 48 thousand in 2020, increased by 27 percent and reached 61 thousand last year.
