Airbus delivered 766 aircraft last year, its orders reached 826

The European aerospace giant has announced its 2024 financial results. While the company's turnover is realized as 69.2 billion euros, it will issue a standard dividend of 2 euros per share and a special dividend of 1 euro for a total of 3 euros. The company's profit was 5.4 billion euros.

The manufacturer produced a total of 766 aircraft last year and delivered them to airline and financial leasing companies. The gross orders received amounted to 878. The net order figure was 826 after the cancellations. Airbus had closed the year with the sale of 2 thousand 319 aircraft by taking a record aircraft order in 2023.

Airbus' 2024 report card in figures:

Gross commercial aircraft orders totaled 878 (2023: 2,319 aircraft), and net orders after cancellations totaled 826. in 2023, this figure was 2,094 aircraft orders.

The order backlog reached 8,658 commercial aircraft by the end of December 2024. 

Airbus Helicopters recorded 450 net orders (2023: 393 units)

Airbus Defense and Space's order intake on a value basis increased to a record high of 16.7 billion euros (2023: 15.7 billion euros). October's fourth-quarter orders included 25 additional Eurofighter military aircraft for Spain.

On the basis of value, the consolidated order intake decreased to 103.5 billion euros (2023: 186.5 billion euros) and the consolidated order book was valued at 629 billion euros at the end of 2024 (2023 year-end: 554 billion euros). 

Which aircraft were delivered

Airbus delivered 75 A220s, 602 A320 Families, 32 A330s and 57 A350s in 2023. 

Revenues from Airbus' commercial aircraft activities increased by 6% to 50.6 billion euros, mainly reflecting the higher number of deliveries. 

Airbus Helicopters' revenues increased by 8% to 7.9 billion euros, reflecting higher deliveries of 361 units (2023: 346 units), solid performance across programs and growth in services. 

Revenues at Airbus Defense and Space increased by 5% compared to the previous year to 12.1 billion euros, mainly due to the Air Power business. Seven A400M military air carriers, including the first one, have been delivered to Kazakhstan (2023: 8 aircraft).DÖ
